Ok, So who is Tommy Pray?
Tommy Pray is a modern fantasy indie author from just outside of Philadelphia, PA with aspirations of creating an expansive literary universe. Since childhood both his parents instilled a love of books and stories as a means of learning and broadening his perspective and he has been an avid reader of novels, comics, and manga. Everything from R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps and K. A. Applegate’s Animorphs series to obscure manga series like Psyren and Gamaran have served as inspiration as well as a gateway into the world of Sci-Fi/ Fantasy, though it wasn’t until well into adulthood that the then Navy Veteran would dive into writing with true gusto. Tommy published his first book of the Heir of the Shade series in 2024 and is working on other series as well such as the Mindful Matters series. Despite getting his B.S. in Music Production, Tommy uses multiple mediums of artistic expression as creative outlets, with writing allowing him to incorporate subtle social and cultural commentary.
